Community Programs

Our Community Programs are at the heart of what we do, bringing arts based queer-affirming and consent education into diverse community spaces.

At Canvas Programs, we partner with community organizations to deliver dynamic, arts-based programming that is shaped by, for, and with participants—strengthening community care, connection, and belonging across all ages and spaces.

By extending our programming into the broader community, we are building inclusive spaces where people of all ages can feel valued, supported, and free to be themselves.

Youth Arts Action Committee (YAAC)

In partnership with Peel District School Board, YAAC brings together 2SLGBTQIA+ students and allies to build community through activism, artistic expression, peer support, mentorship, and identity exploration.

Back Talk

In partnership with Friends of Ruby, Back Talk empowers queer youth ages 16–29 to explore queerness, gender equity, resilience, and experiences of sexual violence through poetry and spoken word.

RelateABILITY

In partnership with Geneva Centre for Autism, this interactive workshop series empowers young adults with developmental disabilities to build confidence and knowledge around consent, body ownership, self-advocacy, gender, and sexuality.
