Call-Out for Indigenous Visual Artists
Canvas Programs is looking for an Indigenous artist to provide supplementary art materials for our classroom workshops. This is a one-time paid opportunity.
Compensation
The artist will be paid $1,500 in an honorarium format for the four (4) pieces of art outlined below.
Scope of Role
We are looking for one artist to fulfill two projects, for a total of four designs:
Two (2) prints, replicable in size 8 ½ x 11, to accompany our workshop Land Acknowledgements. Designs to be decided in collaboration with the artist.
Two (2) 1.45” circular button pin designs for our facilitators to wear while facilitating workshops as a commitment to Indigenous solidarity across all workshop contexts. Designs to be decided in collaboration with the artist
We welcome traditional as well as digital work, as long as the format works with printing/replicating.
